The Interview stage represents human-led interviews conducted by Hiring Managers or SMEs.


When to use it

Incorporate an Interview stage when:

  • Final Candidate Validation: Conducting a deep dive into the candidate's experience and cultural alignment after they have cleared technical stages.
  • Cross-Functional Feedback: Gathering perspectives from multiple stakeholders, such as Hiring Managers and SMEs.
  • Eligibility Verification: Confirming the signals captured during automated stages like Profile Screening and AI Interview.
  • Collaborative Discussion: Engaging in real-time problem solving or architectural discussions that require human judgment.

Configuring the Stage

The Interview stage is designed for simplicity, serving as a placeholder for final-round discussions. Configuration primarily focus on the intended session length and the specific nature of the interview.

Setting Duration & Naming

When adding an interview round, you only need to specify the estimated duration. To provide clarity to both candidates and recruitment teams, you can rename the round to reflect its specific purpose—such as Technical Review, Culture Fit Discussion, or Executive Sync.

Scheduling & Interviewer Assignment

To initiate the interview process, administrators can promote a candidate from the dashboard of the previous assessment stage. Clicking the Move to Next Stage action icon triggers the scheduling modal, where you can define the session timing and assign the relevant interviewers.

To ensure a frictionless experience for both candidates and hiring teams, CoderScout automates all logistical communication:

  • Scheduling Confirmation: Upon assignment, the candidate receives an automated email containing the session timing and access details.
  • Real-Time Updates: Any changes to the interview schedule trigger immediate email notifications to ensure the candidate remains informed.
  • Privacy Controls: To maintain professional boundaries, interviewer identities and contact details are withheld from the candidate.   • Candidate Access: Once the interview is live, candidates can join directly from the Assessment Home Page or via the secure link provided in their invitation email.
