Roles & Permissions
Overview
CoderScout is designed for collaborative hiring.
An organization account can have multiple internal users, each assigned a role that determines what actions they can perform.
There is no additional cost for adding internal users.
Super Admin
Who this role is for
- Organization owners
- Founders
- HR leaders
- Account administrators
How it is assigned
- The first user who signs up automatically becomes a Super Admin
- An organization can have multiple Super Admins
Permissions
Super Admins have full access, including:
- Organization settings
- Billing and subscription management
- User invitations and role management
- Creating, editing, and deleting Assessments and Contests
- Viewing all candidate data, recordings, and results
Contributor
Who this role is for
- Recruiters
- Hiring team members
- Assessment creators
- Coordinators
Permissions
Contributors can:
- Create and configure Assessments and Contests
- Add and configure stages
- Invite candidates and manage applications
- View results, leaderboards, and evidence
- Collaborate with other team members
Contributors cannot manage billing or organization-level settings.
Moderator / Supervisor
Who this role is for
- Proctors
- Interview coordinators
- Supervisors during live or monitored rounds
Permissions
Moderators can:
- Monitor candidates during active stages
- View candidate activity and recordings
- Assist with supervision and evaluation
- Review submissions and evidence
Moderators typically have limited configuration access.
Inviting users to your organization
Super Admins can invite users by email:
- Invitations are free and unlimited
- Users join the same organization account
- Roles can be changed later if needed
This allows recruiters, Hiring Managers, SMEs, and coordinators to collaborate within a single system.
